OXI SOL is a powerful oxygen based alkaline cleaner that attacks the toughest organic dirt including mildew, blood, pet messes, mold, wine, juice, baby formula and much more. After removing your stains, OXI SOL will break down into harmless oxygen and sodium carbonate. OXI SOL works over time, and some stains will require several treatments for best results. OXI SOL has no odor so you clean without the harmful fumes. For the most effective stain removal, follow the mixing instructions on this instruction sheet using the lightest solution suggestion first and increase the cleaning solution as needed.

Today, bleach is found in nearly every household. It whitens fabrics and removes stains by a chemical reaction that breaks down the undesired color into smaller particles that can be easily removed by washing. The two types of household bleach are chlorine bleach and peroxide bleach. Peroxide bleach helps to remove stains, especially in higher wash temperatures, it will not bleach most colored materials and does not weaken fabrics, as does sodium hypochlorite bleach. Peroxide bleach does not disinfect and is commonly added to laundry detergents which are advertised as color-safe. It also has a longer shelf life than chlorine bleach. Peroxide bleach is more commonly used in Europe, where washing machines are manufactured with inner heating coils that can raise the water temperature to the boiling point.

The more common form of household bleach is chlorine bleach. It is most effective in removing stains and disinfecting fabrics. Chlorine bleach is cheap to manufacture and effective in both warm and hot wash temperatures. However, it has strong chemical properties which can weaken textile fibers.

Color-safe bleach uses hydrogen peroxide instead of sodium hypocholorite. While peroxide is a bleaching agent, it doesn't affect the dyes in many types of fabrics, so it won't change the fabric's color. If unsure whether your colorful clothing or other fabrics will hold up to a color-safe bleach, test it by pouring a small amount of the color-safe bleach on an inconspicuous area of the fabric and let it sit for 30 minutes or so before rinsing it out.

  • Is OXI SOL safe to use in my Bathroom and septic tank?

    The only by products of OXI SOL are oxygen, water, and soda ash. These natural elements do not harm the home or the environment. By the time the oxiclean mixture gets into a septic tank, most of the oxygen has already been released into the air. Any oxygen left over will not hurt the bacteria in an anaerobic septic system.

  • Nature of stains does it remove?

    OXI SOL works extremely well on organic stains like wine, food, pet messes and more!

  • Can I use it with Chlorine Bleach?

    No! OXI SOL is a bleach alternative and works by itself. Do not mix it with bleach as they will neutralize each other and can create dangerous gases and heat. If mixed in a poorly ventilated room, breathing the fumes created by this mixture can be fatal.

  • Is it ok to use on my colored clothing?

    Yes. The cleaner is color safe. It is much safer for colored fabrics than chlorine bleach and can help increase the life span of your clothes. However, not all clothes are colorfast. You should test for colorfastness before applying.

  • Suitable temperature should I use when mixing OXI SOL?

    You should always mix oxiclean in hot (not boiling) water to completely dissolve and release all of the cleaning power of the crystals. Oxiclean will work in cold water, but takes longer to activate than in hot water.

  • Can I let it stand on a soiled area over time?

    Yes, it's OK to allow oxiclean to stand on a soiled area. However, it is best to wipe soiled areas clean before oxiclean solution has dried completely as it stops working when it dries out.

    Does it neutralize odors?

    Yes. OXI SOL deodorizes and works to neutralize odor causing substances.

Dose:

For tough stains pre-treat with RXSOL-41-8731-025 Do not use neat on metallic parts (eg. buttons, metallic embroidery) or rust stains.

Add detergent as usual
1 Main Wash. Add detergent as usual.
2 Measure out 1 cap of Ace into cap dispenser and pour directly onto the laundry Start cycle immediately

Hand Wash
Add 100ml of RXSOL-41-8731-025 and your usual detergent. Add garments and soak for up to 1 hour. Rinse thoroughly.

Tips for Safe Washing: Do not mix with detergent in same dosing ball or in the detergent drawer. If in doubt about colour fastness, test RXSOL-41-8731-025 on a hidden part of the fabric. Do not pre-wash, overload machine or put the dosing ball in the drier. In case of accidental spillage, mop up immediately using plenty of water. Do not let Ace dry on the fabric or expose to direct sunlight as damage may occur. Do not use on carpets or when 'dry-cleaning only' is recommended. Only use when recommended by manufacturer on curtains, cushion covers, or other soft furnishings.
