Xylenol orange (3,3′-bis[N,N-di(carboxymethyl)aminomethyl]-o-cresolsulfonephthalein), which is a water-soluble dye of the triphenylmethane group, was tested for a dye-sensitized solar cell.

The particular pH used to buffer the titration solution was also chosen because of the metal ion indicator used to signal the end point in the titration. A metal ion indicator is a substance that changes color when it binds to metal ions in solution. Metal ion indicators tend to be polyprotic complexing agents. Xylenol orange  is used for the cobalt titration. This indicator is red when it forms a complex with metal ions such as Co2+. However, the color of the unbound (free) indicator depends on pH and which protonated form is predominantly present. Above pH = 6.7, free xylenol orange is violet and the color change from red to violet is not sharp. However, below pH = 6.7 the free indicator color is yellow and the change from red to yellow is
much easier to see.

A small amount of xylenol orange is added initially to the cobalt solution and it forms a complex with some of the Co2+. As EDTA is added to this solution, the EDTA complexes the free Co2+. Just before the equivalence point, the free Co2+ is used up and the EDTA starts to remove cobalt ion from the indicator. As the xylenol orange loses the metal ion, its color changes. Obviously, the indicator must not bind the metal ion as strongly as the complexing agent (EDTA) used for the titration.

RXSOL-40-4023  is a high performance nitrite based closed circuit inhibitor.
The disadvantages of not treating the closed circuit water can be equally troubling for the system operator:-
1. Leakage in PHE and AHU due to corrosion
2. Plugging and clogging of tubes and reduced flow rate
3. REduced heat transfer
4. Need of regular descalling that incurs shutdowns, loss of labor and time
5. Fouling of brine of chiller water

Chemical tratment removes dissolved oxygen that cause oxidation of metal to metal oxide i.e., Iron + Oxygen = Iron Oxide (Rust)

The chemical also contains a specific inhibitor to protect copper from corrosion and removes/prevents any sort of scale formation in the system.

Remarks:

1st Treatment Method ::: Variety of disease causing organisms including bacteria, yeast, fungus, spores, and viruses growing in water. Drinking Water disinfectant easiest process is  to add  1-pound of calcium hypochlorite in granular form in to 10,000 gallons of drinking water.  And Calcium Hypochlorite is widely available for use as swimming pool chlorine tablets or white powder that is much more stable than chlorine.

2nd Tretament Method ::: Potassium permagnate for water purification. : Potassium Permagnate oxidizes dissolved iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide into solid particles that are filtered out of the water. And potassium permagnate is one of popular option to control iron bacteria growth in wells.  After treatment with Potassium permagnate,  The solid pricipitate particles are then filtered with a multimedia filter.
 

Bacteriological test of water:

Procedure:

20 mL of sample was collect in a sterilized bottle.
A Bacteriological strip was insert with forceps into the bottle, below the water level

Close the bottle with cap properly and place the bottle inside a beaker with water at a temperature of 20-25o C (ambient temperature). Incubate the bottle for 36-43 hours.

Observing the colour of the sample inside the bottle.
Result: A black colour of the sample indicates the presence of coliform bacteria in the sample.
