Application:
N-Methyl Pyrrolidone is coloueless, water soluble liquid. NMP also soluble in most organic and inorganic compounds. NMP makes it also an excellent cleaning medium and paint stripping solvent.
Using Procedure:
NMP is also used for lube oil purification and for butadiene recovery, BTX extraction. Also NMP is used as photoresist stripper, for defluxing, degreasing and cleaning.
Note:
NMP is used for paint stripping, in graffiti removers, oven cleaners, in automotive and industrial cleaner formulations.

Remarks:

Used as a solvent in pharmaceutical synthesis because of its broad solvancy.

OIL REFINING Solvant for selctive extraction of aromatic compound mixers and co-solvant for water resolution. Decoloring agent for oil & waxes. Extraction slvent in lube oil processing and in natural and Synthetic Gas purification.

Also uses as Solvent for paint stripping and resine. Metal finishing and PCB manufacturing. Pigment dispersant and disperser for paints and vamishes.

STORAGS                  :-     Mild or Stainless Steel. Store away from heat sparkes, open flames, storng oxidizing agents and direct sunlight.

HEALTH & SAFETY   :-    NMP is irritating to skin, eyes. In case of contact, affected areas should be washed with plenty of water. If sticky, use waterless cleaner. Inhalation should be avoided. If overcome by exposure, victim should be moved to fresh air, Give oxygen or artifical respiration as needed. Obtain emergency medical attention. Prompt action is essential.
