Degreaser for Heavy Soil

A degreaser helps loosen and dissolve dirt, dust and grim from dirty surfaces. Degreasers are available in the market in varying strengths for varying purposes. A degreaser for heavy soil is basically a heavy duty emulsifier that is composed of petroleum distillates, emulsifiers, penetrating and wetting agents. These agents combine with oil, greases and soils to form soap like compound so that the loosened dirt can be washed away with hot water.

Where can it be used?

How to use?

It is suggested to use these heavy duty degreasers in undiluted form for heavily soiled surfaces. It can be sprayed on the soiled surface and allowed to slow soak for 15-20mins. The surface can be brushed if the dirt is rigid. The surface needs to be flushed off with hot water pressure to remove all trace of dirt from the surface. For light cleaning purposes, the emulsion needs to be diluted with 2 parts of kerosene and should be sprayed directly on the surface.

Precautions

Since the emulsifier contains petroleum distillates it is highly combustible in nature. Therefore, precaution should be taken in order to avoid using it or storing it near naked or open flames such as gas cylinder etc.  It should always be kept away from food articles. It is intended for external use only and if swallowed it can prove to be fatal. Do not induce vomiting and call doctor immediately. Avoid direct contact with eyes or any body part. The container needs to be kept tightly secured when not in use. It should be kept out of reach of children. Be careful while discarding empty containers. Rinse the empty containers with water before discarding.
