Lead cleaner – An Environment friendly formula

Lead has always played a hazardous role in contaminating tanks and heavy machinery with residues that make the working of equipment difficult. To deal with the contamination and remove lead properly, Lead Cleaner or Inhibitor Remover can be used effectively. This type of cleaner is a specially formulated concentrated formula that effectively cleans and readies up cargo tanks and other machineries which have been in prolonged contact with petroleum products.  Often tanks carrying petroleum products such as carbon tetrachloride, virgin naphtha and gasoline loaded with lead face the issue of heavy contamination and residual stains of both lead and chloride. This concentrated formula cuts the lead or the inhibitor molecules and removes it completely for an environment friendly status.

Application

The lead cleaner or the inhibitor remover exhibits excellent emulsifying properties.  It can be used directly in concentrated form over the contaminated areas in tanks, machineries or any other place affected by lead accumulation. The formula bonds very quickly with the lead and emulsifies it to remove all traces of the contamination.  The product can be efficiently used to remove traces of both lead and chloride from stain steel tank; epoxy based coated tanks, and zinc silicate surfaces.

To proceed with the application, the tanks need to be first washed and cleaned thoroughly for any loose dirt.  The tanks need to be cleaned with warm water through butter wash machines. Once washed properly, the tanks need to be ventilated to make them gas and odour free. Next step involves spraying the lead cleaner in it in undiluted form by a spray gun and to be left for approx. 30mins or depending upon the severity of the contamination. After the elapsed time, the tank needs to be rinsed again with warm water through machine for at least an hour or two until all traces of the remover is washed away. A final wash of cool fresh water along with mopping it dry ensures a clean and uncontaminated tank.

Anther procedure involves making the solution of 3-5% of lead cleaner with 60-70 degree centigrade of warm water and circulating it though butter wash machines inside the tanks. This procedure also works fine for cleaning of lead affected areas. The application procedure remains the same as above.

Properties

The lead cleaner or inhibitor remover is a powerful formulation suitable for cleaning all types of lead and chloride contamination. The solution contains hydrocarbon acids which exhibit good binding properties and thus keeps the lead-ions immersed in solution. It is non-flammable and biodegradable in nature. This makes it safe to use even in households where the problem of lead contamination might be seen. It has been proved to be effective on all kinds of surfaces with excellent health safety characteristics. It is a concentrated formula which does not require any dilution during usage. This makes it highly effective even when used in small quantities and proves to be cost-effective and economical. It is readily soluble in water and thus can be mixed with water and used without leaving any residue behind. It comes as a clear liquid with 6-7 level of Ph.
